Nourish yourself, support your baby, and bloom together, before and after birth.

Mama bloom Programme

A 3-month 1:1 nutrition programme for pregnant and new mothers, with a dietitian by your side 7 days a week. Gentle, practical support to nourish your body through pregnancy and the months after birth, find your energy, and make nourishing meals possible, whatever stage you’re at.

Because nourishing your little one starts with supporting you.

During pregnancy…

During pregnancy, a lot of care goes to your growing baby: are they growing well, is everything on track? You get a list of foods to avoid, perhaps a standard prenatal supplement, and a simple “just eat well”.

But what if you feel nauseous most days? What if your appetite changes, your cravings take over, or the weight gain is hard to live with? What if the fatigue is overwhelming, while you carry the responsibility of growing a whole human being?

And what if you’ve just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, or you’re navigating a specific diet, a food intolerance or an allergy?

After birth…

After birth, the attention shifts to your newborn: are they feeding well, gaining weight, sleeping enough? You might have a check-up of your own, and perhaps a reminder to eat well if you’re breastfeeding.

But what if you’re exhausted, and your own meals are whatever you can grab with one hand? What if your body feels unfamiliar, your digestion has changed, or your emotions send you looking for comfort in food? What if you’re recovering from birth while caring for a whole new human being, day and night?

And how long does “after birth” actually last? It depends on what we look at. Routine postnatal care usually ends at around six weeks. Many experts now speak of a “fourth trimester” covering the first 12 weeks. Your body continues to recover for around six months, and some changes can be felt for months, even years.

These questions are real, and they deserve real answers. Not a generic list, but answers built around you, your body and your daily life.

When you’re nourished, everyone blooms

What is sure is that your wellbeing matters, in every one of these phases. And nutrition can be one of your strongest pillars to go through them with more peace and confidence: in your own body, in what you eat, and in what you bring to your baby.

Yet the advice you receive is often brief and general, and what you find online can be confusing, contradictory, or shaped by one culture’s habits, especially if you’re living far from home.

When you’re nourished, not only you benefit, your baby too. The first 1,000 days, from conception to your child’s second birthday, lay the foundations for their lifelong health. Caring for yourself isn’t a luxury: it’s where your baby’s foundations begin.

You deserve support that sees you, not just your pregnancy or your baby. Support that helps you feel at home in your body, find the energy these months ask of you, and enjoy food rather than worry about it, free from pressure, free from perfectionism, in a practical way that fits YOUR day-to-day life.

  • Struggling with your changing body, your body image or weight gain

  • Wanting to give your baby the best start, without stressing over every bite

  • Unsure whether you’re eating enough or too much during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, while recovering.

  • Riding an emotional rollercoaster, and turning to food for comfort

You might be:

  • How to navigate nourishing meals while taking care of a newborn

  • Recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and not sure what you can eat

  • Sharing calm, nourishing family meals, you included

If you recognise yourself, you’re in the right place. Caring for yourself isn’t selfish: it’s part of caring for your baby and your family.

More than what’s on your plate

What you eat supports your energy, your recovery and your baby’s development. How you eat shapes something just as lasting: your relationship with food and with your own body, through all the changes these months bring.

That’s why this programme goes deeper than a list of foods to eat or avoid. We look at your nutrition, your body, your emotions and your daily reality, because your wellbeing is built in real life: between appointments, sleepless nights and family meals.

During pregnancy

  • Eating well on hard days: practical ideas when nausea, cravings or fatigue take over

  • Confidence with safety: what to eat, what to avoid, and which supplements you really need

  • Tailored support: for gestational diabetes, a specific diet, a food intolerance or an allergy, alongside your medical team

  • A kinder relationship with your changing body, free from judgement

  • A postpartum plan prepared in advance, so the first weeks feel lighter

After birth

  • More energy: simple, nourishing meals that fit around your baby, even on low-motivation days

  • Nutrition that supports you: while breastfeeding or formula feeding, including supplements

  • Gentle support for your digestion and your recovery

  • A calmer relationship with food, your emotions and your body

  • Family meals that work for everyone, you included

How we’ll work together

Before we start · Getting to know you
Two personalised questionnaires about your health, your pregnancy or birth, and your daily habits. They build your Mama Bloom pillars, a visual picture of where you are today, so every session counts from minute one.

An initial deep-dive consultation (45 min)
We take the time to understand your body, your story, your family, your culture and your daily rhythm, and set your priorities together.

Two follow-up consultations (45 min each)
Scheduled over the 3 months according to your needs, not a fixed calendar. Before the second one, a short mid-way check-in shows how your pillars are evolving. We adjust as your pregnancy or post-partum recovery progresses, your baby grows, or if things don’t go according to plan.

In between · I’ve got your back
WhatsApp support 7 days a week for the full programme, plus a weekly check-in message to keep you on track, gently. A craving you’re not sure about? A doubt about a supplement? A day when nothing goes to plan? Just send a message.

All consultations take place online, in English or French. If your baby has already arrived, there’s no need to arrange childcare: we’ll work around naps, feeds and the occasional baby commentary.

I’m Mélody, a State-certified dietitian with over 13 years of clinical experience, specialised in perinatal and paediatric nutrition, and a mother of two. I know first-hand how much pregnancy and the months after birth can turn your appetite, your energy and your relationship with your body upside down.

Every recommendation I share is grounded in current scientific evidence and official guidelines, then translated into simple, practical steps that fit your real life, culture and rhythm.

Alongside nutrition, I’m trained in the psychology of eating behaviour and in acceptance-based approaches, which means we look at both what you eat and how you feel about food and your body: with kindness, without judgement.

Frequently asked questions

Why work with a dietitian rather than follow advice online?
Online advice is often generic, contradictory, or shaped by one culture’s habits. As a dietitian, I base every recommendation on current scientific evidence, and adapt it to your body, your stage, your family’s habits and your food culture. You get clarity instead of more noise.

When should I book?
Whenever you feel you need support: at any stage of pregnancy, or after birth, whether your baby arrived last month or last year. Starting during pregnancy means the programme can carry you into your first weeks with your baby.

What happens if my baby arrives during the programme?
[Your 3 months continue, and we simply adapt the timing of your consultations around the birth and your recovery. / Your programme can be paused for up to X weeks after the birth.]

I’ve been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Can you support me?
Yes. Mama Bloom helps you build meals that fit your treatment plan, feel satisfying and work for the whole family, in close coordination with your doctor or midwife.

I follow a specific diet, or have a food intolerance or allergy. Is this programme for me?
Absolutely. Whether you’re vegetarian, plant-based, follow religious or cultural food practices, or avoid certain foods for medical reasons, we’ll make sure you get everything you need, without giving up what matters to you.

Is it suitable if I’m breastfeeding?
Yes. Whether you’re breastfeeding, formula feeding or combining both, your support is adapted to your situation.

Will this help me lose weight after birth?
Mama Bloom isn’t a diet. We focus on energy, nourishment and a peaceful relationship with your body. If weight is one of your goals, we’ll discuss it together, with realistic expectations and without restriction.

Does Mama Bloom replace my medical follow-up?
No. It works alongside your doctor, midwife or mental health professional, not instead of them.

We’re a family with two (or more) food cultures. Can you help?
Absolutely. We’ll bring together the science and the food traditions that matter to you, so you don’t have to choose between them.

Do you work with mothers outside the Netherlands?
Yes. Everything is online, in English or French.

What happens after the 3 months?
You’ll have the knowledge and tools to keep going with confidence. If you’d like more support later, additional sessions are available.

Ready to make space for you?

Let’s talk about where you are, how you’re feeling and what you need right now. In 20 minutes, you’ll know whether Mama Bloom is right for you.
