THE PETIT GOURMET FOOD Movement
VENUES & FOOD BRANDS EDITION
A tailored programme with a paediatric dietitian, to help your restaurant, café, catering service or food brand offer food children love and parents trust.
You care about the children you feed, and your menu or your products can be the place where nutrition and pleasure finally meet.
Offer food children actually enjoy, that parents genuinely trust and that your team is proud of. Because every plate you serve and every product you create is an opportunity to nourish the next generation, and take part on raising the healthy adult of tomorrow.
More and more of what children eat is prepared outside the family kitchen: on a restaurant menu, at a play café, from a caterer, or in a pouch, a snack bar or a ready meal picked up on a busy day.
Yet the options rarely meet what conscious parents are looking for. Kids’ menus default to toasties, fries and pancakes. Children’s products are often sweeter than they need to be, with textures and portions that aren’t adapted to each age. Parents who want to keep nourishing their children well, at home and beyond, are left with few choices they truly trust.
And yet, every meal and every product is an opportunity. A cosy table to discover a new dish, a snack that supports a child’s development, a brand parents rely on: these are powerful levers for food education, and for nourishing busy, growing children.
What if pleasure and health could go hand in hand?
From food safety and allergens to textures, portions, nutrient density and the way food is presented and talked about, every detail can encourage each child to eat safely and truly enjoy what they eat. That’s where paediatric expertise makes the difference.
WHO IT’S FOR
Restaurants, play cafés, caterers and children’s food brands that already welcome families, and want to offer children food that’s as nourishing as it is enjoyable, for parents who care about what their children eat, at home and beyond.
You might be:
YOU MIGHT BE…
Wanting a coherent food offer that parents will order, children will eat, and that truly nourishes their little bodies.
Already committed to quality ingredients, and wondering whether your offer really meets children’s needs at each age and stage of development.
Looking to stand out in a market full of fries, pancakes and sugary snacks, with an offer that reflects the care you put into everything else.
Hearing more parents ask for healthier options, on your menu or on the shelf, and wanting to give them something they’ll love.
Unsure about the details that matter: portions, textures, nutrient density, choking risks and the 14 EU-regulated allergens.
Developing a new menu, a product or a range, and wanting paediatric expertise from the start rather than fixing things afterwards.
Wanting your team to feel confident answering parents’ questions about what’s on the plate or in the pack.
Dreaming of being part of something bigger: a food environment where eating well is accessible to every child, not a privilege.
Wanted to be known
As the place, or the brand, families trust for genuinely nourishing children.
If this sounds like you, this programme was designed for your business.
More than starting Solids
What your baby eats supports their growth and development. How they eat shapes something just as lasting: their relationship with food and with their own body.
That's why this programme goes deeper than what to put on the spoon. We look at your baby's nutrition and your family's way of eating, because your baby learns at your table: by watching you, sharing your meals and growing up in your food culture.
For your baby
A clear roadmap: what to offer, when, how and why
Confidence with safety: setting up meals, gagging vs choking, introducing allergens
Nutrition that supports healthy growth and development
Respect for their hunger and fullness cues, so they learn to trust their body
A curious, joyful relationship with food from the very first bite
For your family
A look at your family's eating habits, with realistic, gentle adjustments
Shared meals that work for everyone, not separate dishes for baby
Less stress and more pleasure at the table, for you too
Habits that last well beyond the first year
Why work with me ?
WHY WORK WITH ME
I’m Mélody, a French State-certified paediatric dietitian with over 13 years of clinical experience, most of it in institutional settings: auditing practices, developing nutrition programmes and training professional teams across 100+ establishments.
Alongside my clinical training, I hold a University Diploma in the Psychology & Pedagogy of Eating Behaviour, which is why I never look at the plate alone: how children feel at the table matters as much as what’s on it. Through Petit Gourmet Academy, I’ve also supported 100+ families in private practice, so I know exactly what parents look for when they choose where, and what, their children eat.
I combine paediatric nutrition expertise with hands-on experience in collective catering, from menu audits to allergen management and food-safety awareness, so my recommendations are precise and workable in a real kitchen or production setting, in English or French.
Real science, real strategies, real life.
WHAT YOU GET
Before we start · Getting to know you
We take the time to understand your concept, your audience, your kitchen or production, and your current offer, so every recommendation fits your reality.
TIER 1 · MENU & FOOD OFFER AUDIT
The audit · A paediatric eye on your offer
A detailed analysis of your menu(s) or products, with written feedback on your strengths and improvements, and an allergen review against the 14 EU-regulated allergens, with alternatives where needed.
The recommendations · Ready to use
Practical age-appropriate suggestions per age group, plus 2 recipes per relevant age group.
After the audit · Follow-up call (1h)
We go through the results together, answer your team’s questions and prioritise the next steps.
TIER 2 · FULL TRANSFORMATION
Everything in Tier 1, plus:
Your framework · Children’s food guidelines
A comprehensive document (~30 pages), co-created with you and specific to your business, covering healthy and nutritious menu and product design for your target audience, including allergen management.
Your new offer · Review & revamp
A full review and revamp of your menu or product range based on your new guidelines, with allergen flagging per dish or product and substitution suggestions where relevant.
Throughout · I’ve got your back
3 consulting calls (1h each) to guide the transformation, adjust along the way and make sure it works in your kitchen or production.
Optional · HACCP Awareness & Refresher Training (2h)
A practical session on food-safety fundamentals for collective catering: critical control points, temperature management, cross-contact prevention and allergen handling, tailored to your team’s operations.
An awareness and refresher session, not an official HACCP certification.
All sessions take place in English or French.
